I’ve got some real good stuff coming up, and it’s the best music I’ve ever made! In the meantime, I want to get y’all ready for the drops with some of my past lyrics and break them down for you!
“A dog for the cat let me put my paws on that, Licking down your waist girl I know that pussy ripe, Your fruit is forbidden but God said it’s fine, The apple of my eye and every nipple get a bite”
Osi – Hold On Me
Women be calling men dogs, so if that is what I am, then I’m only one for her pussy (pussycat). I also kept with the animal theme by using paws instead of hands. I then go on referencing her “pussy,” which can also be referenced as “the forbidden fruit” because it’s sacred, which also relates to the story in the bible with Eve and the apple, hence why I say ‘God’ says it’s fine (whereas it wasn’t for eve). This girl is the ‘apple’ of my eye (the one I adore). There were only two options when I thought of something to bite, like an apple, on the body.
“Bigger than the best that’s a mother fucking Mike to be”
Osi – Long Road
I want to be the best, and when I think of the best across different avenues, I think of Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson, Michael Schumacher, and Michael Phelps (even though he’s a cheater). What do all these people have in common? That first name (usually shortened to Mike)! And those names are undeniably hailed as the greatest within their profession.
“Or my life might wear a wire, Working with the breeze to keep me active, Throw a dog a bone while my chains still on leash, Let me feel my pain so my path is swept clean”
Osi – Wind Blows
Here, I’m talking about how my life is working against me. The breeze (or wind) is a metaphor for how life can throw you in a direction you did not plan for, essentially how you can be blown somewhere without control. When someone is wearing a wire, it’s usually to set someone up or gather evidence on someone else without their knowledge, and it feels like my life is doing the same. Life is working with the breeze to keep me trapped in a cycle of pain, no matter where I go.
I get so close to something not to make/or get it, and I’m the dog in that lyric that keeps getting yanked back when chasing the bone. I want to feel that pain once, so my path is swept clean for me to get what I want, but I’m constantly in this cycle of trying and failing and being stuck here.
It’s crazy because this song was released in 2021, and to this day it still describes my life right now…
“Spit so good now I dribble of course”
Osi – Like Kaka
Like Kaka is a tribute to the Brazilian footballer Kaka. “Spit” or spitting bars is another way of saying rapping. But I do it so well/easily that now I dribble just as well as Kaka did in his prime. It’s a double entendre because spitting saliva requires more effort than letting it dribble out from your mouth.
“The hare always beats the turtle in this streets fight, Love is real but for me it don’t sleep tight, No rest turns to wicked and I know that”
Osi – Know Better
In short, this song is about Love not being for me, and when girls show interest, I should “know better” because they have always ended up leaving me one way or another. When you’re single, it’s known as “being on the streets,” unlike the story of the turtle and hare. The hare will always win because this is not a fairytale. This is real life, further pushing the message of the song.
I can see and accept that love is real, but I don’t think it exists. Because it doesn’t rest or “sleep tight” for me, it turns me wicked. And not in the sense of how it’s meant in the Bible, but just how the thought of love, because of my experience, will change my thoughts negatively towards it.
“Forgetting that the devil is an angel (jheeze), Check my CV I’m big in the streets, But that shit don’t matter when there’s L’s on my sheet, Me and me is embarrassing me, So I gotta do best for the future of me”
Osi – So Low
Both ‘So Low’ and ‘Know Better’ are from my Partache series (the second one), and both these songs reference the same thing in my life in different ways. I’m saying that the pretty face and the early good moments with said new woman make me forget that she will do me dirty (forgetting that the devil is an angel). Though I’ve dated many pretty women (check my CV line), none is here now (L’s on my sheet). Regardless of what they did, it’s my fault for allowing it, because I should know better (embarrassing me line). So, I have to do my best for my future, which is to end all of this relationship stuff because it’s not for me.
“Evil women cut it genesis, Apple of my eye, where’s the fruit of my labour”
Osi – Do It
Back to the bible references here. The start references Eve again with the apple, and because God had said not to eat from the tree, which she did, it was a bad thing, or evil. So, I cut all the evil/bad women from me. The other cool thing about this verse is that the story of Adam and Eve in the bible is in the book of Genesis, but also the song “Cut It” is by the rapper OT Genesis, which is why I wrote it like that.
And then I go back to the apple. In the next line, I say, “I adore you, and I am doing all these things for you, but what am I getting back?”
“Ing movements coz I’m presently in motion”
Osi – OUKASAnthem (Watchu Gonna Do)
Moving, driving, walking, etc. When you add “ing” to a word, it means it’s in motion, so I’m basically saying I have traction, and I’m moving forward with it.
“I’m sick right now, but girl you be doctor, so lemme keep patient”
Osi – Body’s Calling
I was sick when writing this song, but this is also a double entendre because the song essentially describes how my body calls out to hers, and her body is like a remedy to me, so she’s the doctor. But because I’m sick, I have to wait (be patient), but because she’s my doctor (remedy), I’m here, patient.
“Free the brothers up in Scotland Yard, Ain’t it mad that I met you in Scotland bars, The way you move I see where you’re heading bruh, Your future’s cute, no looking in the mirror ma”
Osi – Happy Birthday B
This song was written for my ex, whom I met in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I was setting up that fact. Scotland Yard is the headquarters for the Metropolitan Police in London, and you know how rappers are saying, “Free my brothers locked up” (or whatever). Now that I have set up the “Scotland” part, I can start to talk about where I met her. Yes, it was a bar/club in Scotland, and cleverly, I say Edinburgh as “heading bruh,” whilst still expressing my feelings.
“Treasure chests yeah that means that I like boobs”
Osi – SAMBA
I mean… Treasure chest, like what pirates look for. But break those two words down. Treasure, as in someone or a possession you value, is a chest for me here. And what is on women’s chests? You guessed right, boobs! A little playful one.
“Many men living Spain no S lemme put it on my chest, So there’s super in your vision”
Osi – EXOTIC
I love this. It’s like math that makes sense, but if you take the S out of Spain, you get pain. Many people are living like this right now, and I want to be someone who can be seen as a beacon of hope, showing that you can achieve anything, no matter where you start. That’s what OUKASnation is.
But back to the maths equation. We still have an “s” floating in space, and I want to put it on my chest. Who’s the only person you can think of that flies around with an S on their chest? Superman! “Super in your vision.” And essentially what I was describing before.
“Ain’t gone central to see all the sinners, Triple six views when swiping the Twitter”
Osi – It’s Mad
The rapper Central Cee has a brand called Syna. But I also do not need to go to Central London to see all the sinners because if anyone has Twitter (X now), you know you see some devilish shit there already (666, symbolising the devil).
“Traffic light green, but you still make the cars stop, Red dress, one look, Ohh, lemme park up, Girl you causing me to crash with that bumper, Reverse that, I’ve checked your blind spots baby twerk that, Shift those hips whilst grinding on my stick, Seen the gears you got, I hope it’s more than six”
Osi – Reggaeton & Calypso
I do this thing where I run with a whole theme within bars, and here it’s driving. Although the traffic light is green, this girl still makes the cars stop with her red dress, and I’ve got to park up to take a look. Her bumper (ass) is causing me to get behind it (crash), needing her to reverse that (put it on me) as I’ve checked her blind spots so it’s safe to twerk on me (you know how girls look behind to see if the person is attractive to dance on. Since it’s me, and I’ve already shifted everyone else, she doesn’t need to do that because I hit the criteria). I then end the bar referencing just the gear stick. With “shift” (AKA gear shift in US) “, stick,” “gears,” and “six.” Most modern manual cars have six gears. And I do this all whilst still referencing her dancing on me with her back.
I saved the best one last, as I made a WHOLE VIDEO for this song, Naughty Forty! Watch now below!
