We’re back again, and today I’ll be introducing you to the music artists to look out for in 2025. These artists are not limited to any specific genre, so enjoy a plethora of artists that I’m enjoying; I think you should too.
Chikoruss

I was introduced to Chikoruss from Body Language through an Instagram reel. However, the songs I’ve heard since then (with the latest being ‘My Speed’) have all been of high quality, tapping into that early 2000s R&B sound, which always evokes the nostalgic vibes I enjoyed when I was younger.
YT

I’m not going to lie, I’ve only recently started listening to the underground scene. But YT was my introduction to the scene, where I thought, “Oh, I could listen to this.” And this was from the UGS cypher verse, and he was the best one by far (in my opinion).
Since that point, I’ve been tapped in, and I’ve built up a catalogue. Especially from his new album ‘OI!’
Ruger

Going to Nigeria two years ago is where I discovered Ruger, and I replayed the shit out of ‘Asiwaju,’ and since then, he’s always been popping up on my recommended, and I cannot deny the talent. Especially now, Afrobeats is bigger than it has ever been. It feels harder to find a variety within a genre that is extremely large because the same artist is often pushed. And by no means is he a small artist. But it’s nice I got to experience his music when I did.
kwn

Do I even need to write anything about kwn? LOL. I need to give her a big shout-out, especially considering her journey from where she is now, and I’m happy she’s seeing some fruits of her labour. And I say some because this seems like just the start.
AntsLive

Apart from myself, AntsLive is by far my favourite artist on this list. My introduction to him was ‘Captain Ants,’ which is on my list of songs I wish I made lol. I don’t know, but he seems to be in the ceiling or niche within UK Music/Rap, which I do not think he belongs to. I genuinely feel he’s good enough to break through that wall.
His latest EP ‘Carpe Diem’ is a no-skip, and that is very rare to say these days. There are too many songs to name, and if you haven’t tapped in, you need to.
AMARIA BB

I don’t know how to describe AMARIA BB’s sound, but it’s a unique blend of soulful R&B/ Dancehall. And even within that, the vibe is also chill and turnt up at the same time. It’s weird and wonderful lol. At this point, I don’t know what her first song was, and that’s a good thing because I’m enjoying it so much, which I know you will too.
Osi

I got to, right? I’ve just completed the greatest project of this year, PARTACHE: PAIN ARC, which has significantly elevated my game, and I’m looking to push the boundaries of my “norm” with my upcoming releases. I couldn’t tell you how dire my situation is right now, but what I’m putting out is a testament to this, and I can say with confidence that I’m the best I’ve ever been, matching up to anyone.
For now, these are my top picks for artists to watch in 2025. If you know someone making waves that I should hear, drop me their details here or on my social media; links are below.
And don’t forget to share your thoughts on the artists I’ve highlighted. Let’s keep the conversation going!
