We’re back with another blog, and this time I wanted to do something different! So I asked my followers on Instagram to ask me some questions that I would answer here, and here we are. Get to know me more and open up, so let’s get into it!
“What was the earliest memory you had with music?”
A good question, because the thing that comes to mind surely isn’t the earliest. But the one I can remember from the furthest back was when I was staying at my cousin’s house. My Godmother was ironing. And my cousins and I had a talent competition, and she was the judge, so we would go into the room she was ironing in one by one, and perform something. When it came to my turn, I decided to perform Nelly – Hot In Herre, as it was the only song I knew off by heart (don’t ask me why 😅).

“Who’s your biggest musical inspiration?”

I can answer this in two ways because I’m always going through phases. But if you’re talking overall! I would say Drake. Personally, I don’t care what you say about him. Yes, I can agree that his latest projects (post Scorpion) haven’t been the greatest, but what he has done is undeniable. As a person who likes to flirt with different sounds, always trying different things, especially when it comes to melody and rap, Drake is the ultimate blueprint, and I’ve looked at him a lot when it comes to music in general.
The other way I can answer that question is with right now in this very moment (since I go through phases), I would say Dave and Central Cee, and that’s more due to sound, and flows, and how I want to approach the songs I have upcoming, which can hopefully come out because my situation is dire.

“If you couldn’t create music, what other creative passion would you explore?”
Well… I would have potentially stuck with poetry. Although I do want to write a book in the future, I may have moved to writing instead of music. Which is crazy because I am not a reader, to get me to read even one page of a book is a mission lol. It’s just soooo boring to me! The only “proper book” I’ve finished is Help! I’m a Classroom Gambler by Pete Johnson, and that’s because as I was reading it, I was imagining myself doing the same thing the main character was doing in the book, lol.

I have a picture of Harry Potter on my vision board because I would like to write something as culturally impactful as that, which is a HUGE FEAT! Considering I am not a reader myself, but I love Harry Potter, and I would love to do something that even slightly touches that magnitude, so an author in the future 😅.
“Favourite piece of content you’ve made?”
There are two answers for this. So first it’s got to be the Harry Potter one. That video took, sooooooo long. When I say the whole day, I mean the whole day! There were even clips I filmed for it (before I started rapping), like pretending to be a wand dealer 😅 That never made the final cut. I am planning on doing more of those in the future, but there’s a time I want to do it, being just before I release my first album, if I ever get to that point, because I do not know what’s going on with the external part of my life.
I have recorded a Spider-Man song based on Miles Morales Spider-Verse. I want to do something similar with. In fact, here’s a little snippet 👀:
However, I think my best piece of content is the acapella rap video for my song ‘Naughty Forty‘. I personally feel the editing is underrated. But this content life really tests you mentally because something like the Harry Potter video I did OBJECTIVELY should be viral. And there’s a lot of other ones I’m proud of that don’t really make a splash in the puddle, and sometimes it gets demoralising because you feel like “what’s the point?” It’s very hard not to get caught up in the metrics sometimes…
“If you could sample a song from an anime, which one?”
It would be the Demon Slayer intro and the OG Yu-Gi-Oh. However, I have found the Naruto Blue Bird sample rap beat, which I will do something with. Also, I have found a Demon Slayer sample beat, but I don’t even know if it’s from Demon Slayer. The melody in the beat sounds so familiar that it’s annoying me, I can pinpoint it lol, but I shall definitely do something to that also.
Also, I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Yu-Gi-Oh game, The Duelist of the Roses. The game is terrible lol, but there’s an instrumental in the soundtrack which I would love to sample here:
“Favourite Memory?”
You have asked the most difficult question because HOW CAN I PICK A FAVOURITE MEMORY!? If I HAD to pick one, it would be the first boat party I went to with Anime District in 2024. That whole day was so GOATED! And I got the most compliments I have ever received in a day in my entire life. I had on the Vice City fit (which I’m still mad about because I can never wear it again), but from the boat party itself, to Wetherspoons and the amount pitchers we had, to ending in NQ64, and then the madness that happened after, to recieving the Vice City game from a random person who was walking and happened to see me and have the game on them, which they bought that day! Yeah, you couldn’t write it. All in all, I feel it was a perfect day from start to finish.
“What’s your go-to struggle meal?”
I don’t think I’ve had a “struggle meal” in my life lol. At least in the traditional sense, but there are three ways I can answer this:
- At uni, I would mostly have pasta, buy the sauce from the shop and mix it with the pasta. I didn’t have a lot of cooking stuff with me, and that would last me a while, and it was cheap.
- There was a time at uni when I had £8 left in my account, and my next student finance payment was like a week and a half away. I went to the market, bought a fat box of Indomie, and lived off that until I got my next instalment. 😅
- Right now I’m struggling, and I can’t lie, I’ve been eating the same thing for the last however many weeks! Potatoes, a bag of them isn’t too expensive, like £1 something. Then I would get frozen chicken and veg from Iceland, and then Bisto gravy from Sainsbury’s. And I’ve been yamming for God knows how long. 😭
Now that I write this out, I guess these are struggle meals? But when I think of struggle meals, I think of spaghetti hoops and toast or something 😂.
“Who’s your favourite artist! 1 male, 1 female?”
I’m unsure if this is right now or of all time, so I’ll do both. In terms of males, I would literally say the same things here as the inspiration question. So Drake all time, Central Cee currently (since you said 1 lol).
Coming to females, my answer might surprise people, but all time, I would say Doja Cat (yeah, I know). It’s mostly the same reason as Drake; personally, she’s so versatile, and she can tap into many pockets. She also has a great dynamic range in her voice; she would rap/sing parts differently in a song, which is something I’m only learning now, in addition to the melody and rap variation.

On top of that, I gravitate towards weird people because they make me feel more at home. And if you know Doja Cat, her personality is definitely “off,” which, for me, is perfect, so even just as a person outside music, I would probably gravitate towards her anyway.

For a female artist right now, that’s a very hard question because at least for me there isn’t any on my radar within the same magntiude, however, I do really like Josi, who is a German rapper, she has a nice bounce to her tunes, which I will always personally enjoy even though I do not understand what she is saying, it’s still a vibe, so if I had to go with someone currently. It would be her.
And that’s all the questions that I received!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who asked me thoughtful questions to make this post possible, and I would love to know your thoughts on anything I have said here, so drop a comment and let’s discuss!
